Don’t see your question?
Funding and volunteers are our great needs. We need to increase the number of available beds so that we don’t have to turn away a woman in need. We are seeing an increased demand for our services and the message of Genesis Joy House needs to spread in the homeless community. Your partnership for recurring donations are weclomed and is tax deductible.
WHAT IS THE GREATEST NEED FOR GENESIS JOY HOUSE?
Unlike many organizations, whose focus is immediate or emergency care, requiring their guests to leave each morning, our program will allow women to stay for 90 days. Upon graduation, our clients will have a full-time career and a residence of their own.
HOW LONG CAN A WOMAN STAY AT GENESIS JOY HOUSE?
Yes, all of our programs will be available to males and females in our community.
WILL GENESIS HELP OUR ENTIRE COMMUNITY?
Yes, they are allowed.
ARE WOMEN OF OTHER FAITHS OR NO FAITH ALLOWED?
Yes, veteran women and others if we have an available space.
ARE WOMEN VICTIMIZED BY DOMESTIC ABUSE ALLOWED?
Not at this time. The majority of the veterans that we’re helping are homeless themselves and their children are either grown or living with a grandparent. The veterans are also dealing with PTSD and overcoming military sexual trauma.
ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED?
Only if there is a bed available. Our first priority is our homeless female veterans.
ARE WOMEN THAT ARE NOT VETERANS ACCEPTED AS RESIDENTS?
